This is a mostly flat ride with some climb in the beginning and end. There will be  peaceful pastoral and awesome river views. The long open stretches will call to the inner roadie in us all. We will take a break at Tugboat Annie’s.

Meet:   Terra Breads at the Olympic Village

Time:   8:00 AM

Route:  distance is approx 100 km here

Bring:  Snacks and bike maintenance tools

Enjoy this quick burn to the North Shore. The 32km loop is deceptively short; there’s some good climbs in there, steep and longish. Reward your quivering quads with big water views. We’ll take a break by grabbing snacks in the village and soak in the atmosphere by the water.

Meet: 9AM at JJ’s Coffee, located at 6th and Commercial Dr.

View from Grouse Fire RoadYou know when you’re running out of ride ideas when rides start going vertical. This is a classic training ride for roadies near and far. Expect a long, sustained climb. Pace yourself, or expectorate a lung. Break is at Nester’s at the top.

Get out you’re hybrids and transport bikes! We’ll take the Canada Line skytrain bridge and then cut over to the Richmond dykes to get to Steveston.  The ride stops at Garry Point for a pot luck picnic (this means bring some food) This is a chance to show off your culinary skills and ingenuity.

This is a no drop ride with a leisurely pace, (maximum speed 15 to 18km/hr).

Meet:  10:30AM at the skytrain bridge (Kent ave and Ash).

Distance: 35km approximately

Route: view here
