The Ride:  What’s a new year without a bike ride to work out all the fine holiday toxins out of your pores and liver? Weather permitting, we will leisurely ride Vancouver’s neighborhoods for a couple of hours or so, and magically arrive at Cheryl and Joel’s place to toast the new year. Bring a good lock to park your bike outside. Check the website a couple of hours before the start for cancellations in case of bad weather.

The Route: A route will depend on current conditions and the mood.

Meet:  At Terra Breads at the Olympic Village at 1200

RSVP the Ride Leader:Cameron

Many thanks to Cameron for leading and Joel and Cheryl for opening their home once again to the baker’s dozen of us plus who made it out on this ride. The day was so balmy that it became the first unofficial “naked” bike ride. That’s right, we removed our clothes to ride in double digit temperatures. The sight of our pasty bits and pieces flapping in the wind prompted some unsuspecting passersby to gawk, then clutch their faces and scream, “My eyes! My eyes!” Well, it was so disturbing, we reclothed quickly, not before one of us retorted with “Oh, save it for the zombie apocalypse!” Yeah, it was that kind of day.

    Happy 2020.
