Sunday September 27 -Deep Cove- Easy Medium
This is an easy, breezy ride to Deep Cove, land of sea, sand, and Saturday lycra. It’s where every roadie and their uncle ends up on the weekend, nursing a coffee and Honey’s donut. If we don’t get run over by drivers with their SUPs and kayaks, it’ll be a perfect day. Please ensure you’ve got a bike in working order, tools for flats, and snack/water. RSVP the leader as there will be a limit on numbers. Don’t even think of coming out if you’re unwell.
Route: out and back on Dollarton Hwy, click here
Meet: 9AM, 6th and Commercial Dr. coffee shop
RSVP the Leader: Teresa
Four riders accompanied me to Deep Cove under overcast, dry conditions. That kept the Boxing-Day-at-Best-Buy vibe in Deep Cove quiet for a weekend. The parklet they built on the main drag helped for sure. Thanks to Cam for sweeping and bringing the others back to the start. Colin and I got horribly lost, ending up at the ferry terminal. If it weren’t for his navigation, I’d be bushwacking on Bowen Island by now. Seriously, though, thanks for keeping me company for my first long day ride in a long time.

Thanks for a wonderful day out and the fast trip to HB and back.
