THIS IS A LEISURE RIDE – 18km/hr on the flats.

The salmon should be coming up Stoney Creek in Burnaby, so what better to go with them than fish and chips (in New Westminster). Hopefully the weather will be good, but I’ll be riding rain or shine. (Should be too early for the snow.)

Many thanks to Colin and Dorothy for leading 13 of us on this great fall ride to watch the salmon run under bright, sunny skies. It’s always exciting to see the natural world in action. I learned about some new biking paths in New West! In keeping with the theme, we enjoyed solid fish and chips at Cockney King.

We wish Marty and Karen a safe journey to Spokane as they embark on their next adventure. As thanks for all you’ve brought to the club, you are always welcome to ride with the VBC as our guests.

Enjoy the photos. Action shots are courtesy of Gwyn:
