Pi Ride- Thursday March 14
Update March 11- A member has kindly offered her work boardroom in Yaletown for a pie-rrific get together. If you´d like to attend, please rsvp by emailing teresaot@yahoo.ca. Don´t give us reason to think you´re flaky!
Even though this ride doesn’t fall on Wednesday, it is a good way to kick off the restart of Wednesday night Pie Rides and celebrate the longer days. You may want to break out your best pocket protector for this one. But start spouting formulas and watch people move away. Celebrate everyone’s favourite mathematical constant-there’s 3.14 times the fun, guaranteed empirically for your nerdy pleasure. Show up to get your geek on. There´s no ride rating because we will stop at strategic points to regroup. Bring a lock if you plan to stop and enjoy treats at the pie shop.
Meet: 500pm Canada Place flagpoles

Six of us came out on this fine pre-Spring day for some after work pedaling, driven by numeric inspiration. We did try to enjoy some fruit and pastry, but the line at the Pie Hole was pretty long, and the pizza joint nearby was too hoity toity for us and our sweaty helmets. We’ll have to make up for it some other Pie Ride night, one where I´m not reciting pi backwards.
Enjoy the photos, though the really good ones were taken by Paula on Whatsapp: https://photos.app.goo.gl/5FzewCqSJpjwzHS59
Thanks to Paula, we enjoyed pie, 2 kinds, in the comfort of her board room at work, proving the flakiest day of the year also brings out the best. We had 6 riders, but 1 did not make it to the pie-for-dinner event. That must become a thing, said no parent at any time in history, ever. Great to have the extra daylight back, with no rain.
Enjoy the photos-
