Sunday Oct 25 Stoney Creek Salmon and (Fish and Chips?) – Leisure

THIS IS A LEISURE RIDE – 18km/hr on the flats.

The salmon should be coming up Stoney Creek in Burnaby. The usual stop for this would be at Cockney Kings in New Westminster for fish and chips (remember to bring a mask). Although this may be a possibility, the probable stop will be at New West Quay. Hopefully the weather will be good, but I’ll be riding rain or shine. (Should be too early for the snow.)

Note: This ride contains sections that are not paved! The route goes along the south side of Burnaby Lake.

Update: As of Monday there are lots of Salmon in Brunette River, there were none in Stoney Creek. Hopefully they will be moving up by Sunday.

Meet: JJ Bean on Commercial at 6th at 10:30.

Distance: about 45 km. (The route can be shortened by individuals as we go by many skytrain stations. If you are planning on this bring along a mask for transit.)

Ride coordinator:  Colin (please RSVP if you plan on coming)
