Sunday June 4 Alouette Lake (medium)

The Ride: The ride goes from the end of the Evergreen Skytrain line – Lafarge Lake. The sun will be shining as we meander through verdant countryside of Pitt Meadows. Following this along a babbling brook on our way through the forest to azure lake at the end. We will stop for a picnic (bring your own food) before returning to our start point.
Bring tools/spares in case of flats. Keep an eye on the website 2hrs before the ride for possible cancellation in the event of rain/snow/ice/riots due to Alberta or US politics. Please do not bring bathing suits as the aesthetic police may be monitoring for excesses of untanned flesh.

Meet: 9:30AM Lafarge Lake Skytrain station
Distance: 70km
Ride coordinator: RSVP Colin if you plan on attending.
Conditions were pretty Goldilocks for the 9 of us that rode to the very photogenic and busy Alouette Lake. Fortunately, drivers with their boats gave us wide berth on the road to the lake. There was one flat tire on the way back. Big thanks to Colin for leading, to David for spotting the one free picnic table in the entire park, and to Kelly for sweeping. Nice to be able to catch up with previous members Andy and Will, and with the pickle ball players’ multiple injuries. One would think pickle ball was a contact sport. Act now, and make your millions designing pickle ball body armour.
