Saturday June 29th :: Leisure – Hail to the Honey Donuts

Leave your indoor trainer behind. Put on your finest lycra and join fellow mamils in a leisurely yet refreshing ride exploring the bike paths and bike lanes (ahem… and small repetitious hills!) of North Vancouver. As we leave we ride through downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park. Once we cross the Lion’s Gate bridge we’ll ride along North Vancouver Spirit Trail. Then we follow Dollarton highway head to Deep Cove for some refreshments before we tackle the Mount Seymour Parkway’ short but epic climb followed by a very, very, long descent.
On the way home, we’ll cross into Vancouver via the Iron Workers Memorial bridge. Then ride Trout Lake before heading back to Olympic Village Square.

That was fun! A great roller coaster in cool weather. Thanks Yves for leading; some of us rebels did our own thing for the last part.No issues, we all met at Honey’s. Thanks all, for your patience. And thanks to Kelly for offering to sweep :-))
Many thanks to Yves for leading 13 of us to Deep Cove today. You’ve got great ideas for new routes! I know I learned a thing or two today. My stomach is missing those donuts though, having left the ride early. Not the girth, just the flavour. It was nice to see all the new and familiar faces. A big welcome back to Paula, Henry and Laura.
