New destination: Eagle Harbour a few km. west of Sandy Beach, adds about 12km for a total of about 50km. It is much nicer and we don’t have to hike our bikes 67 stairs to reach the water.Good idea to bring flipflops: sand is hot and pebbly.

Enjoy a leisurely ride to Sandy Cove, where big views and beaches await. Discover the charms of a north shore pocket beach. Pace will average 18-22 km/hr and unrushed, just what the summer delivery man ordered. Bring food, water, a towel if you plan to swim, and basic tools in case of flats. There is a washroom at the destination.
