Saturday July 15 – Queen of Peace Monastery – Leisure
School´s out, but field trips are on! It´s never too late to find religion or see God, as the destination is the Queen of Peace monastery. This ride starts in Squamish, and if you bike to the start, you will have my undying respect. Pedal through the Squamish valley, with scenic views of the river and mountains. Bring a bike in working order, tools for fixing flats, and your lunch. Expect a 1km of unpaved road in each direction of this 56km ride. Expect wayfinding issues, as it´ll be the first time I do this ride. Thank the folks at Wanderung for this ride idea.
Meet: 10AM at Junction Park & O’Siyam Pavilion, Loggers Ln, Squamish, BC

Five of us did this ride. David even rode to the start, and managed to avoid certain death on the Sea To Sky by some divine intervention. This was a scenic ride through mostly tree lined roads and sleepy towns. The Queen of Peace monastery lives up to its namesake and was a cool place to recharge and have lunch before the return trip back to Squamish. We battled a strong headwind in the heat to get there. Andy was nice enough to drive David back into Vancouver; his momma and family thank you.
