This ride ventures into sleepy but charming Dundarave in West Vancouver where I used to frequent the Bakehouse, but then was introduced to Crema in Ambleside that crushes the coffee and baked goods.  This place is pretty packed, so we can take our goodies to the water for noshing. There’s one hill in Stanley Park and the bridge to overcome, otherwise it’s pretty level. This will be a no-drop ride.

Please keep an eye on the website Saturday morning for possible cancellation in the event of rain. All riders are expected to have basic tools/supplies to repair flats and know how to use them.

A group of 8 joined me on this perfect summer day to the North Shore where we met with 2 more riders. On the way out we encountered charity run/walk along Beach extending into Stanley Park. There must have been a million people in their lycra and spandex best. It’s a wonder that this city does not spontaneously combust from all that polyester friction. I believe Archimedes is known for saying, “Give me enough thigh chafing and exercise, and I will set fire to the world.” Crema did not disappoint with its treats, which we enjoyed on the water. We extended the ride to cross back on the 2nd Narrows Bridge. Nice to see so many familiar faces.

    Enjoy the pics!
