This is a skytrain to skytrain station ride with a slight diversion out past Maple Ridge. We will meet at Lafarge Lake skytrain (end of the Evergreen line) and ride out to Whonnock lake. Lunch will be at the Billy Miner Pub unless someone has a better idea. This is at about 55km. The ride is going to be in the low 20km/hr speed along the flats. Bring extra food for energy. The ride ends at Braid Street Skytrain.

Meet:  9AM at the Lafarge Skytrain station.

Distance: 86km approximately

Great ride a few hills good food and good group of riders. Enjoyed the route and I had never been to lake Whonnick before nice area to ride. Maybe even base a ride and swim event there and of course food. They have paddle board rental also.
Thanks for everyone who worked to make this ride happen.

Thanks for leading a great ride, Colin. We found some new back roads, in the country.
A brief ride description; flat, flat, flat, up, up, up, stop at the lake, down, down, down, flat, flat, flat. Yummy lunch at Billy Miner Pub.
Teresa and I logged 115 km.

Thanks to Colin, for leading a ride into unexplored territory and injecting much needed novelty in our rides. The new Evergreen Line really opens up many riding opportunities. It was a beautiful day; we covered a lot of rural ground with scenic water and mountain backdrops. There was one flat and one tumble with minimal bloodshed.

My phone camera lens is probably packing it in. See if you can recognize anyone in the photos:
