What’s summer without ice cream? “More cream, less scream” are words to live by. Not to worry, for the dairy and sugar-averse, as there are soup and sandwich options. This is a fairly flat ride, save crossing the Skytrain and Queensborough bridges, which explains this ride’s popularity. Who are we kidding? It’s all about the ice cream.

Meet: 9am at Arbutus Coffee Shop at 6th and Arbutus (40+km ride), or Kent and Cambie for shorter 31km ride.

Amazing scenery along the River road to Avalon Dairy, and then back to Vancouver. Thank you, Teresa, for leading the ride.

7 riders came out on this warm and sunny day for a short and sweet ride. Everything went smoothly, and I was able to get home with time and energy to do other things. The cafe has changed owners, so expect fewer savory options and slower service, with only one employee behind the counter. Ice cream is still good. Aaa.

    A big welcome to Beth!
