Saturday August 26-Avalon Dairy – Long Leisure
What’s summer without ice cream? “More cream, less scream” are words to live by. Not to worry, for the dairy and sugar-averse, there are soup and sandwich options. This is a fairly flat ride, save crossing the Skytrain and Queensborough bridges, which explains this ride’s popularity. Who are we kidding? It’s all about the ice cream. Ride runs in dry weather only; keep an eye on this website for updates and cancellations.
Bring: a bike in good working order, tools for flats, and ability to use them.
Meet: 9am at Arbutus Coffee Shop at 6th and Arbutus (40+km ride), or Kent and Cambie for shorter 31km ride.

RSVP with info on where you plan to start: Teresa
Eleven riders made this ride a rolling party all the way along River Rd only to be surpassed by ice cream. A big welcome back to Susan and Neil, and to new rider Peter. Thanks for sweeping, Colin. In other news: googling the VBC sometimes connects you with Vancouver Burlesque Company, understandable for the entertaining nature of the club, less so when it comes to the disrobing part. A big ew to all the lycra sausage casings we wear. Whatever you do, don’t take it off.
