With all this good weather we’ve been having, I’d like to continue with the al fresco lunch theme. A good place is at Westminster Quay, which has a bevy of dining options, from sit-down service to take-out eaten on the most inviting bench on the boardwalk. Regardless, the mighty Fraser is at your feet at all times. We will ride out to New West via Richmond’s River Road, over the Canada Line Bridge, and return by 7/11 Trail.

Meet : at 10:00AM at Terra Breads 1605 Manitoba Street, Van, BC

Distance: around 40km

Milltown Marina

Milltown Marina

This ride will run, rain or shine! Weather forecast at this time is for showers. Bring your rain gear.

Come and raise a glass of cheer to the memory of one of the VBC’s main benefactors, John Hathaway.

You can read about John’s lifeHERE.

The Ride: This ride will take us from the Olympic Village and eventually end at for lunch at the newly opened Milltown Bar & Grill at the also newly opened Milltown Marina in Marpole. Actually, the place is officially in Richmond, but it suffers from a rare case of Pt. Roberts syndrome (those geographically challenged can keep wondering).

The plan is to south on Heather, to West 10th Ave, and make our way around UBC to Milltown Pub.  However, how we reach the pub will mostly depend on the current conditions – we might take a longer route if it’s really nice, or shorten it if it’s crappy.

Meet: At Terra Breads at the Olympic Village at 10:30am

Distance: about 30 km.

Ride coordinator: Cam S.

Come for an easy ride, on Saturday morning. This will be a short ride, because of bad weather.

We’ll go around UBC, and have a snack at Wick’s Café. Cinnamon rolls! Yum!

Check this website on Saturday morning. Ride will be canceled if the weather is really bad.

Meet at 10:00 AM,  at West 6th Ave and Arbutus.

Hmmm… time for pie!

Daylight savings time is now in effect.  This means more light at the end of the day, for quality riding.  Pie Rides will be happening again.

See the bottom of the page for details.
